My grooming journey began with my dog Robby, a (somewhat grumpy) Cairn Terrier who was handstripped twice a year and maintained by my mother and I. He is no longer here but I use the handling experience he gave me every day. As a dog walker I offered nail trims and brush outs on inclement days so that my client's  pet's still got a full visit, which increased my experience handling a variety of animals. Walking transitioned into grooming at a multi use pet facility and then for several years I groomed for a corporate salon. In need of a change from that environment, I was fortunate enough to work under Cheryl Purcell, who is the most knowledgeable, skilled and experienced mentor I ever could have asked for. I have been grooming independently since 2021.
